Couch/sofa surfing
So I'm gonna write this entry in english, because this might be interesting for readers from other countries as well. Sorry, my finnish fellows!
Today we got a chance to try sofa surfing here in Tulsa (we are driving route 66). If somebody doesn't know the meaning, let me explain: someone offers you a chance to sleep over at their house for sheer hospitality, so you don't have to pay for it. I don't know the other rules yet (if there is some?) because this is my first time! ;)
I think we were really lucky to meet Jacqveline, our hostess. We went to get something to drink from a liquor store called "Mad Dog". And yes, finnish people like to drink. And it's Saturday! And yes, Mad Dog's the place where you can hook up with her. She was very kind to us. I'm getting really confused with all of this southern hospitality we are experiencing in here!
Her house is awesome too, so if you are traveling trough Tulsa and you are fed up with motels, go to see her in Mad Dog, maybe she'll take you under her protection as well!
The other things we did in Tulsa today, was quad skating. There are two skating rinks (Skates and Skateland) here, but be prepared and warned: it's very crowded in Saturday nights! And there are a lot of kids who might be more worse skaters than you, even if you are a beginner, but anyway they'll go FAST. Don't go if you have problems with your heart! :D
Ok, so now we are gonna try how the night goes and hopefully we are going to experience more surfing during our trip, it would be great. And if you have any questions or anything else, please leave a comment!
